Ecobee4 Available for Pre-order Now!

Ecobee finished up their live product announcement on Facebook just a few minutes ago.  The Ecobee4 can now be pre-ordered from their website or at Amazon.com for $249.  The product will start to ship in a couple weeks on May 15th.  The Ecobee4 now features Amazon Alexa built-in.  This will give you the ability to change your thermostat through voice control in addition to all the other features that you can do with an Amazon Echo today.

The Ecobee4 looks very similar to the Ecobee3, but includes a blue sliver of light to signal when Alexa is listening/responding.  It also has support for additional room sensors which was just added to the Ecobee3 Lite.

Currently Amazon is running a special on the Ecobee3 for $190 + tax which is the same price as the Ecobee3 Lite, so if you have been holding off to buy the Ecobee4, but already have some Amazon Echo devices in your house, now is your chance to save a few bucks and still get most of the same functionality.
